Q: Why are you interested in the study of the Underground Railroad?
"To be an effective teacher I must continue to grow and learn. Last year I saw the advertisement for the first trip and wished I could participate, but it was very expensive. Luck came to me when I was asked if I would like to go this year. I have enjoyed developing school wide activities at our site to bring history to our students in a meaningful way. We have a fantastic group of history teachers who all go that extra two miles. I am sure we will create other ways to give depth and reality to our instruction as a result of this trip."
