You brought me out of bondage Lord,
You showed me the way.
You carried me 'cross the river, Lord,
I climbed the bank that day.
You know my many troubles Lord,
I weep them as I pray.
I've rushed the steps to Freedom Lord,
You gave me the place to stay.
The trail was long and hard my Lord,
from your light I didn't stray.
You brought me into Freedom Lord,
and changed me as I came.
From all I've seen and done my Lord,
I'll never be the same.
