Riverside Meals on Wheels to hold March for Meals Campaign

Support will help to continue feeding homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, CA – January 31, 2013 – Riverside Meals on Wheel, Inc., announced that it will participate in the national 2013 March for Meals campaign. Riverside Meals on Wheels’ March for Meals campaign will help to raise awareness of the problem of senior hunger in Riverside, recruit volunteers for meal delivery, and raise funds for our local meal program. March for Meals is initiated by Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) to encourage action on the part of the local community.

“During these rough economic times, the food and human contact we provide to seniors in our community is needed more than ever,” said Debbie Keller, Executive Director of Riverside Meals on Wheels. “We need the community to come out and support our March for Meals events. Our clients are counting on us. We can’t let them down.”

Riverside Meals on Wheels is seeking sponsors for the 2012 March for Meals campaign. Sponsorships are open to individuals, businesses, service organizations, and other community groups.

Riverside Meals on Wheels, Inc. is a local 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, in operation since 1972, providing noontime delivery of hot, nutritious meals Monday through Friday to homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities in the city of Riverside.
