Kappa Scholarship Charity Bachelor Auction is “Value Packed”

The ladies were provided bid paddles, escorted to their seats by the young men from the Dubois Institute, and entertained by celebrity MC Danielle Le Fridge and renowned DJ Larry Clayton

RIVERSIDE - Twelve bachelors representing several Chapters of the fraternity used their swagger to attract the highest bids from the 200 ladies in attendance. Highest bids went to Kappas Jerrold J. Curry – Educator/Entrepreneur, Victor C. Marshall-Criminal Defense/Entertainment Attorney, Amir R. Johnson –District Representative, CA. State Legislature, and Darryl L. Exum –Criminal Law Attorney.

The Co-chairmen of the event, A.C. Jones –Criminal Law Attorney, and John Murdock –Branch Manager, Arrow Truck Sales expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support received for the event. Thanks were given to the corporate sponsors: Citrus City Grille, the Law Office of Victor Marshall, the Kappa Silhouettes, Four-D College, LaVerne “Byrdie” Goodloe of Mary Kay, Kevin Winters of Fine Art America, Dr. Abdulmumin of the DuBois Institute, and Riverside Mission Florist.

Mothers of the young escorts expressed their pleasure that their sons were able to participate with college educated, professional mentors. “I want my son to go to college and this lets him see the rewards that are possible” one mother shared. Proceeds from the event support the Guide Right Program that focuses on preparing young adolescent men for college entry and academics with a special emphasis on leadership and achievement.
