Senator Gloria Negrete McLeod, 32nd Senate District invites the public to a free consumer education seminar and health fair on Thursday, October 6, 2011 beginning at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a Scam Stopper and in conjunction from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. a Health Fair at The Plaza Senior Apartments, 560 North “F” Street, San Bernardino.
The panel of experts will include:
Contractors State License Board
– Home Improvement and Repairs; Department of Real Estate
– Mortgage/Loan Scams; Professional Fiduciaries Bureau
– Financial Exploitation/Abuse; Bureau of Automotive Repair
– Car Repair Scams; and San Bernardino Police Department
– Local Scams.

Natural Hair and Beauty Expo
On Saturday, October 22, 2011 Hairstory Natural Hair Salon will host its second annual Inland Empire Natural Hair and Beauty Expo titled: It’s All Natural, It’s All You. The event will take place at the Boys and Girls Club of San Bernardino, California from 11:00am to 6:00pm.
Last year’s expo brought in over 500 guests while numbers expect to double this year. This is a great event and necessity for the Inland Empire community where there is a large need for natural hair and natural lifestyle resources.
There will be a variety of events that guests can participate in such as: classes and workshops, shopping, hair show, contests and competitions, hairstylist showcase, and special entertainment.
We are currently seeking vendors, entertainers, class instructors, and photographers/videographers.

Outreach Event to Serve Riverside County/Inland Empire Homeowners
As part of the commitment to providing assistance to customers who are experiencing financial hardship, Bank of America is hosting a free, three-day customer outreach event where Bank of America customers can meet face-to-face with home retention specialists to review options for home loan modifications or other alternatives to foreclosure, as well as review loan modification files already in progress.
The event will run Thursday, September 29 - Saturday, October 1 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the Riverside Convention Center, 3443 Orange Street, Riverside, CA.
