Police, communities urge patience and calm following verdict

SANFORD, FLA – George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman at the center of a racially-charged trial involving the alleged murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, was found not guilty today of second-degree murder.

Zimmerman, 29, was acquitted by a six-woman jury who began deliberations after closing arguments were made in the case on Thursday.
