The weekend before Thanksgiving proved to be a time when churches and community service organizations give away food baskets and turkeys to those in need.

In San Bernardino, St. Paul AME Church recently held their 3rd annual Share and Care Day and served hundreds in the San Bernardino community with Thanksgiving dinners complete with all the trimmings.

The local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority showed their generosity by serving dinners as well as volunteered in a health fair. Four D Success College provided health care screenings.

A. Majadi, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of San Bernardino distributed turkeys along with Washington Wizards JaVale McGee.

In Riverside, Kansas Avenue Seventh-Day Adventist Church and Resource Center prepared food baskets to include turkeys which they provided to the Riverside community.
