Governor Jerry Brown recently appointed San Bernardino County District At torney Michael A. Ramos to the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (POST).
The Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training was established by the Legislature in 1959 to set minimum selection and training standards for California law enforcement.
"It's a great honor to be appointed to this position, because I have always felt strongly about my partnership with law enforcement," said District Attorney Michael A. Ramos.
"I look forward to serving in a position that will allow me the opportunity to ensure that our officers have the best resources and the best training available because ultimately it comes down to making sure that our citizens are safe."
The Leadership Team works with POST staff, affiliated POST agencies, and associations to develop and maintain programs and services that assist California Law Enforcement in addressing the needs of communities they serve.
