INLAND EMPIRE – Longtime community leader, servant, and advisor Cheryl Brown announces her candidacy for State Assembly representing the people of Fontana, Rialto, Colton, and portions of San Bernardino.

“I believe this is the right time for me to continue my service to the people,” said Brown. “I look forward to running for the seat, explaining to all of my fellow neighbors and residents why I am the best candidate for this position, and listening to all of the concerns of the district.”

As a trusted advisor and reporter of the issues facing the community, Cheryl Brown has been recruited to represent them in Sacramento during tough economic times. Over the past 40 years, she has served the district as: Field Representative, Assemblywoman Wilmer Amina Carter Vice; District Representative, State Senator Gloria Neglete-McLeod; President/CEO, Brown Publishing Company; Vice Chair of the San Bernardino County First 5 Commission; California Newspaper Publishers Association Board of Directors; San Bernardino County Planning Commissioner; President of the California County Planning Commissioners Association; San Bernardino City Planning Commission; and San Gorgonia Girl Scout Council.

Cheryl Brown is married to Hardy Brown for 48 years and has 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She is also a member and officer of St. Paul AME Church.

My 20 year old daughter was run over by an unlicensed illeaga. Her face was torn off from the bottom of her chin to her left side eyebrow, she lost that eye, meanwhile this illeagal continues to drive, no fine, no insurance, no jail, if this happend to your kids if you have any im sure you would be singing a different tune, I believe you are racsist. It should be interesting to see how Cheryl does in the open primary. A big faction of the Democratic party is its loyal base of Labor. However Cheryl has attacked labor many times in recent years. Baca has a good relationship with labor groups. He understand the blue collar working class.
