The Opportunity of a Lifetime, a program of the Black Voice Foundation Inc. is proud to present the 2011 National Case Study Competition. This program is dedicated to working with students who attend minority serving institutions.
We are reaching out to campuses nationally to assist their students reach their career goals in these hard economic times.
Starting in August 2011, teams will work with their campus advisors to research the case topic and develop a strategic plan. Winners will be announced in late fall, and the top 2 teams will be flown “all expenses paid” to Southern California to present their findings at the 7th Annual Black Voice Foundation annual gala, December 1 - 4.
This year, sponsors that will be supporting the student teams in their research efforts are: National Park Service; UPS; State Farm Insurance; Southern California Edison; California Black Media; Black Voice News; B.A.C.E. (BlackAssociation of Colleges & Employers); California State University, San Bernardino; and Southwest Airlines who is the national sponsor and official airlines.
“Our program’s mission is to develop diverse talent through creative professional development that will provide students the ‘Opportunity of a Lifetime’,” states Black Voice Foundation Executive Director Hardy Brown, II.
The program is targeted to students who DID NOT KNOW they could be passionate about showcasing their talents and abilities to prospective universities, employers and global opportunities.
