First Annual High School Black Graduation & Scholarship Awards

The IE Alliance of Black School Educators presented the 1st Annual High School Black Graduation & Scholarship Awards Celebration, to honor I E African American graduating seniors at CSUSB, before an audience of families, friends, fellow students & community supporters.

Following an Afro-centric orientation, the celebration opened with drums and a procession led by drummers of the "TEK Poetics & Pacesetters Drumline"; Minister Michael Lyons, Ecclesia Christian Center, offered the invocation, & A Majadi, CEO, SB Boys & Girls Club offered libation to honor those whose sacrifices made possible a way forward; students from the Hardy Brown College Prep Hope Ensemble 'stole the show' through their spirited & challenging presentations; & Edward Bush, Ph.D, VP Student Services, Riverside City College. & Assoc.

Pastor, Immanuel Praise Fellowship Church, received a standing ovation from graduates & the full audience for his keynote address.
