Riverside Community Hospital Announces Appointment of New CFO

Riverside Community Hospital announced the appointment of Tracey Fernandez as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer which went into effect February 5, 2010.

Tracey, has been serving as the Interim CFO and has been the Assistant Vice President, Finance/Controller at Riverside Community Hospital since 2007, has agreed to accept the position permanently.

"Tracey has been a wonderful asset to Riverside Community Hospital for the past 16 years,” says new President and CEO Patrick Brilliant. “Her extensive background in finance and years of experience here at Riverside Community Hospital qualifies her as a ideal candidate for the position to help successfully drive and manage growth as we move forward with plans for our hospital expansion, and continue to focus on implementing new and exciting initiatives that will develop our organization to meet the needs of a growing community.”

Tracey has worked at Riverside Community Hospital since 1994. She started as an Internal Auditor/Assistant Controller. She was promoted in 1997 to Controller, and again, in 2006 to Assistant Vice President, Finance/Controller.

Tracey received her BS in Accounting from University of Southern California and is a Certified Public Accountant. Before beginning her career at RCH, she worked as an Audit Manager for KPMG Peat Marwick, an accountancy firm in Ontario and Costa Mesa, CA. She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Tracey grew up in Riverside and resides in the community with her husband Ralph and three children. In her spare time, she is a community volunteer with Alternatives to Domestic Violence, Junior League, and the Volunteer Center of Riverside County.

Riverside Community Hospital is a wonderful place to work and I am proud to be apart of an organization that really does care for the community. I’m excited about my promotion and look forward to my new responsibilities and the opportunity to continue to give back to the community,” said Tracey Fernandez.
