Chief at Strip Club prior to crash

Riverside Police Chief Russ Leach, after 10-years with the Riverside PD resigned last week after crashing his city-issued Chrysler 300. It was later learned that he had spent several hours at a local strip club but appeared fine when he left. Leach, when stopped by his own officers, was driving on the car’s rims for more than 3 miles.

According to published news reports, the California Highway Patrol obtained copies of surveillance footage at Club 215 that shows Leach arriving shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday and leaving after the club closed at 1:48 a.m.

Leach has since stated that he is seeking retirement for medical reasons. Previously he has stated that he was disoriented on prescription medication when he crashed. He said that he does not remember what happened.
