Former San Bernardino County Assessor Bill Postmus and his former assistant were arrested for the second time in roughly a year early Wednesday morning, this time facing a number of new drug and corruption charges.
Postmus was booked into Victor Valley Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, a legislator receiving a bribe, embezzlement by a public official, conflict of interest and conspiracy to commit a crime, according to court records.
Erwin is being held at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
Postmus was arrested by the District Attorney's office at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday at the Springhill Suites by Marriott. He is being held on $250,000 bail.
