The Black Women’s Forum will present “The Underground Railroad Theater and Movable Feast” on Saturday, June 21, from 6:30 p.m to 10:00 p.m. beginning at the Universalist Unitarian Church. The cross-town journey will re-create stops on the Underground Railroad that secreted so many freedom seekers on their journey to freedom.

The route is secret but participants will travel by truck to various homes, churches and parks. They will be treated to gospels that informed slaves of escape plans, they will hear voices of abolitionists such as Quakers, Samuel Burris, Levi Coffin, Prudance Crandall, David Walker, John Brown, Sojourner Truth, Frederick and Anna Douglass and others.

Cheryl Brown of The Black Voice News will lead a discussion about the Underground Railroad at the final stop. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
