Dickens Festival Celebrates Tenth Anniversary

Mr. Dickens is coming! Mr. Dickens is coming! Charles Dickens came to the United States in 1842 and again after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

He was outspoken about the enslavement of Black people in America. On Saturday and Sunday, February 8th the 9th Gerald Dickens, the great- great grandson of Charles Dickens, will perform at various times during the Riverside Dicken’s Festival including a very special command performance on Monday evening, February 10 at Benedict Castle. The festival runs February 7, 8, 9 and 10th. Tickets are still available by calling (909) 781-3168.
