The Mayor and City Council invite Inland Empire residents to Fontanas Annual Festival of Winter Tree Lighting Ceremony, craft fair and parade.
This all-day event will be held Saturday, December 14, 2002 at Fontana City Hall, located at 8353 Sierra Avenue.
The fun begins at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast with Santa, provided by the A.B. Miller Band Boosters, a craft fair and holiday bizarre from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., where there will be many Christmas items under $10.00. The annual Christmas parade, with floats, bands, clowns and much more will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Arrow Blvd. and travel south on Sierra to Merrill Avenue. A kids craft workshop, with free arts and crafts, will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Childrens Snow & Fun Zone is scheduled to open at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Build-A-Snowman Contest, with real snow from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. At 5:00 p.m. the official Tree Lighting Ceremony will start a visit from old St. Nick himself.
