The Black History Month Committee of Riverside joined other vendors at the recent Los Angeles Black Business Expo.

They were there to promote their upcoming Black History parade and expo to be held during Black History Month.
The Riverside Black History Month Committee is one of the areas most vital organizations promoting cultural diversity, education, family unity, and positive values for youth.
In 1980, then Mayor Ab Brown, a group of ambitious high school students, members of the community, and the Riverside City Council formed the Black History Month Committee of Riverside to present a forum, whereby, the diversity of the city's ethnic groups could come together, at a set time and place, to learn more about each others culture and differences.
