The Riverside African American Historical Society, Inc. invites you to its 8th Annual Pacesetters Reception, honoring unsung heroes of the Inland Empire, March 5, 2006 from 3:00 to 5:30 pm at the Riverside Marriott, 3400 Market, Riverside, CA.  This years honorees are: Eddie D. Smith, Chester Timothy Adams, Michael R. Bartee, Deborah P. Brown, Clifford Breland and Linda Wright.

Honorees for this year's event were nominated by the Inland Empire community and selected by a panel of jurors from RAAHS. Criteria for selection include recognition of the positive impact they have had o­n the lives of others in their community and are facilitated by the identification of those who owe their success in part to the mentors.  Honorees were chosen from the following categories:  Education, Religion, Community Advocacy, Humanitarian, Sports, Government/Civic, Medical and Entertainment and have not received formal or appropriate recognition for their efforts.

Funds for this event will go toward the erection of a  Cultural Center in Riverside.  Donation: $30.  For more information, call (951) 682 5062.
