OneNation Media Services is pleased to announce its summer writing workshop offered to area teens.
Journalism Boot Camp is an eight-week intensive writing program that focuses on print journalism and photography.
Youth ages 13 to 18 are eligible to participate. Students will write articles that will be featured in What’s Up? , a new teen magazine published by the Boys & Girls Club of San Bernardino. The first issue of the magazine was released in May and featured articles written by and about teens living in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
“We’re pleased to partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs to bring this learning opportunity to area youth,” said Sheri Stuart, executive director of OneNation Media Services.
“We’re dedicated to providing youth with the highest level of journalism education and training in a safe and nurturing environment,” said Stuart.
The first session will be held Saturday, July 11 at the Boys & Girls Club of San Bernardino located at 1180 W. Ninth Street.
A $65 application fee is required. Participants may register online at www.onenationmedia.org or call 909.657.0578, ext. 1., to request an application.
