From the politically charged DC Metro area to the recession-hit suburbs of Southern California, and on to the streets of Sierra Leone, West Africa, normal, everyday people have benefited from the

“Everyday Leadership Seminar” developed by the non-profit organization, Leaders of Godly Character International (LGCI -http://www.leadersofgodlycharacter.org).

The seminar is designed to benefit everyone, regardless of what stage of life they may be in. Small business owners, high profile business executives, stay-at-home moms, teachers, managers, cashiers at a local retail store, everyone stands to benefit greatly from the timely, life applications of this seminar.

The 2-day seminar starts on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and continues on Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to pre-register online at: www.crosswordchurch.org

The Founder and president of LGCI, Modupe Taylor- Pearce, Jr., is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and has distinguished himself in corporate America as a business turn-around specialist.

He offers this insight into his organization’s modus operandi: “Everything rises and falls on leadership, yet while we invest at least twelve years of our lives acquiring formal education, many people do not get any leadership education or training.”

A participant at a recent seminar had this to say: “I’ve learned so much about being a leader; I had a chance to evaluate myself, and realize I have a lot of work to do.”

Chief Pastor Lacy Sykes of Cross Word Christian Church in Riverside, CA, is really encouraged by the feedback and response of participants at the last leadership seminar held in Riverside. He says “the overwhelming expression of appreciation and gratitude from participants was more than we expected.” He adds: “families, churches, businesses, communities, and our state of California, are all experiencing leadership crises. It is evident in the disintegration of marriages, corporate scandals and economic crisis that we are facing today.

Each of us needs to improve our leadership skills. I am humbled and happy to be hosting this seminar that will

offer this critically-needed training for the people of Southern California. When we demonstrate Godly leadership, our children, homes, communities all benefit.  Everyone is capable of demonstrating godly leadership.”
Cross Word Christian Church is a non-denominational church. The motto of the church is “remember the

Cross…focus on the Word”. Cross Word Church started as a home bible study in January of 2000 and officially became a church on August 20 of that same year. To date, God has blessed Cross Word with a mobile membership of over 3500 with over 37 active ministries.
