ImageWith Domestic Violence Awareness month fast approaching in October and September 20, 2008 named the official "Day of Service" in south Los Angeles by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Jenesse Center will recognize both with a special Swag Fashionista Estate Sale on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 8:00am to 2:00pm in the parking lot of the Jenesse Center offices, located at 3761 Stocker Avenue Suite 100, Los Angeles, CA or call (323) 299-9496.  Shoppers can purchase designer clothing, shoes, household items, tools, and toys.  The event will also feature a local disc jockey to spin all the hits to keep the day festive and fun.

The Swag Fashionista Estate Sale is sponsored by Simply Swag, The Los Angeles Police Department and Nestle USA.

Michele Turner, President of Simply Swag a local pro-family/anti-violence volunteer group said, "Simply Swag is proud to lead by example in our community.  Our focus is upon empowering the victims of domestic violence, therefore your support of our event will be of great benefit to the women and children assisted by Jenesse."

Lieutenant Daryl Russell of the Los Angeles Police Department said, "We consider ourselves to be partners and neighbors with all of the organizations in this area.  In addition, we support organizations that provide services to the community, especially those involving children."

Ken Bentley, Vice President of Community Affairs/Nestlé USA said, "At Nestlé we believe to continue to be the number one food company in the world we have to not only make the very best food and beverage products but we have to help make the communities we do business in better.  That's why we are proud to support the Jenesse Center and the great work they are doing."

Jenesse is proud to announce another great opportunity; as part of its national day of support, Macy's will help the families of the Jenesse Center by hosting Macy's Shop for a Cause, a special one-day only invitation to experience amazing savings at Macy's stores.  For a small $5 donation, which will benefit the Jenesse Center, shoppers will receive a special card that will offer a 20% discount on any purchase at Macy's department store.
