Bishop E. Earl Jenkins spoke on MIND MANAGEMENT. When we become preoccupied
with a thought, eventually we want to act on it. Adolescents, who have a higher exposure
level to violence, had reduced levels of cognitive function. The more violence they saw the less thinking, learning, reasoning and emotional stamina they had. The garbage they fed their minds affected what came out.

Their computer stored the wrong information – now they could only retrieve the wrong
stuff. “THINK ABOUT IT” Gal. 6:7 (NIV) “A man reaps what he sows.”

Where Dreams Soar

Moreno Valley again I start with some very sad news, a long time resident Charles Cedric Lewis went to be with the Lord. He was the loving husband, father and son–inlaw of Ruth Brown, Michael and Charles and Mr. Frank Brown. His loving family and many of us will miss Lewis. Lewis after retiring from the Air Force gave back to the community and helped in many areas of Moreno Valley. To the family you have our deepest sympathy.

This past Saturday, November 1, 2008, The Bethune Recognition Program held at the Hap Arnold Club, was a great success.

were Mattie B. Grant, Carol Washington, Mattie McHenry, Lois J. Stewart, Matilda S.
Perry, Donn Ann Mabry, Barbara Washington–Knight, and Claudette Norris.

To Mattie McHenry and all the volunteers, a job well done.

Moreno Valley in our City for the last fourteen months is a very blessed and loving church Chapel of Faith Church of God in Christ located at 14940 Perris Blvd. Ste. E. at the corner of Perris and John F. Kennedy, (951) 334–0565 and pastored by Supt. D. K. Jackson. Their vision is to save the unsaved, to build a facility, whereby the unsaved soul can be nurtured and developed. Supt. Jackson and family welcome to the community.

Moreno Valley if you are looking for a church home to be renewed and blessed stop by.

Starting November 5, 2008 thru Saturday November 8, 2008 will be the grand opening of the new Stater Bros. Market located at 14425 Moreno Beach Dr. See you there.

While I was reading, I came upon this old poem, “YOU TELL ON YOURSELF.” You tell on yourself by the friends you seek, By the very manner in which you speak, By the
way you employ your leisure time, By the use you make of dollars and dimes. You tell on
yourself by the things you wear, By the spirit in which your burdens you bear, By the type
of things at which you laugh, By the records you play on your phonograph. You tell what
you are by the way you walk, By the things of which you delight to talk, By the manner in
which you can bear defeat, By so simple a thing as how you eat. By the books you choose from the library shelf, By these things and more, you tell on yourself.

Be Blessed
