We may not always realize that everything we do affects not o­nly our lives, but touches others too. A simple happy smile can always brighten up the day, for anyone who happens to be passing your way. And a little bit of thoughtfulness that shows someone you care, creates a day of sunshine for both of you to share. Yes, every time you show a friend you care and understand, every time you have a kind and gentle word to give, you help someone find beauty in this precious life we give. For happiness brings happiness and loving ways bring love,  and giving is the treasure that contentment is made of.

The Elites Social and Charity Club of Riverside, California is sponsoring a Christmas Gala o­n Saturday, December 17, 2005, at the March Air Reserve Base, Hap Arnold Club in Moreno Valley.

City officials were called to a discussion by skid row youth, who, through a survey and documentary, provided a glimpse into the reality of their lives. Organizations such as the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Unified School District, Los Angeles Parks and Recreation and Los Angeles Housing Authority were asked to put into action, initiatives to deal with the disproportionate laws enforced o­n skid row youth, develop more low-income housing and create areas for them to play.
