As Americans are becoming more economical and interested in greener alternatives, more people are turning to refurbishing instead of replacing. Reglazing is a process in which bathroom and kitchen surfaces are refurbished to restore their sheen and durability. Reglazing Pro, founded by Aldo Chavez, offers such services.
After being unsatisfied with his previous experiences in other areas of the home improvement industry, Chavez noticed the success of a friend's reglazing business and decided to give it a try. After six months of intense on the job training, Chavez started Reglazing Pro. Chavez quickly noticed from his high rate of customer satisfaction and by examining his competitors' work that what made his business unique was the high quality that he and his employees provide. One of the biggest obstacles that Chavez has had to overcome is common of new businesses: just finding a way to bring in new customers. Having a keen business sense, Chavez realized that the best way for him to advertise was to focus on homeowners and realtors. He has even gone so far as to walk door to door through Riverside in the middle of summer do speak to gain customers.
While reglazing has been particularly popular with apartment owners, who have a quick tenant turnover rate, Chavez has found that with the downturn of today's economy, many homeowners are looking for less costly ways of improving their home. As many homeowners are having difficulty selling their homes, reglazing has become a more cost-effective way to improve the longevity and aesthetic values of their homes.
In addition to its money-saving benefits, reglazing is also a greener way to remodel bathrooms and kitchens because the process focuses on refurbishing fixtures instead of replacing them.
Because of his success of producing high quality produced at a reasonable price, Chavez hopes to expand his business into franchises within southern California, while still maintaining the ability to interact personally with many of his customers. (See their Ad below.)
