Resort Casino, Special Events and Convention Center Opens New Destination in Palm Springs Area

It wasnt the Fourth of July, but the fireworks flew high during the kick-off and grand opening ceremonies at the deserts newest hot spot, Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino.
Along with a 12-story, 250-room hotel, there are two new restaurants, a lounge, coffee-and-pastry bar, shops, a poolside bar highlighted by a picturesque view of the Palm Springs area surrounded by mountains. Hotel room rates start at $99 per night as an opening special through March 2005, and can be booked online at fantasyspringsresort.com or by calling (800) 827-2946.
An additional 15,000 square feet has been added to the casino, which had been redesigned and redecorated to feature 2,000 slot machines, table games and more.
The Cabazon Band of Mission Indians have also included an adjoining Special Events Center which can accomodate conventions and serve as the areas largest concert and sporting venue with up to 4,500 seats.
The Special Events Center can handle multiple functions at the same time. For large events, concession stands will be located on both sides of the main concert hall and a large kitchen facility is capable of serving up to 2,000 guests.
