Riverside's Baker Returns for Field Dedication

E-mail Print PDF
A Riverside sports legend was recently honored when city officials dedicated the new ball fields at Andulka Park to Johnnie “Dusty” Baker, a pro baseball player, coach and manager for decades.

Baker, a former Los Angeles Dodgers and now manages the Cincinnati Reds, attended the ceremony along with some of his childhood teammates from Ramona High School and Riverside Community College.

During the dedication, Baker credited his parents for giving him the life lessons of God, family, responsibility and community that he states has helped him throughout his life.
