Led by former Fontana High School coach Dick Bruich, Kaiser out coached and out played Serrano. Kaiser came into the CIF Championship game at 13-0 and is known for it's tough and stingy defense.

During the season, the Cats gave up a mere 95 yards and less than seven points per game! Serrano did put up a fight in the back and forth battle, however, the size, speed and overall discipline of a superior Kaiser football team emerged victorious. During the season, Kaiser had relied upon one of San Bernardino county's best one/two running attacks. Alan Wade led the way with 1,229 yards and seven yards per carry. Teammate Marcus McCliman was no slouch in gaining over 900 yards at 8.6 yards per carry. McCliman carried the load with 87 yards on 20 carries in the championship game. With this kind of success, don't expect Kaiser to remain a Division VIII football team for very long. Their program is impressive enough give many D-I schools a good beating.
