DETROIT - Looking to lead by example and through deeds, The Field Generals are trying to impact lives. Founded by ex-NFL quarterbacks Warren Moon, Doug Williams, Marlin Briscoe, James "Shack" Harris, Vince Evans and Randall Cunningham, this group of African-American males is taking dead aim at influencing our youth in a positive way.

Rialto Carter's Lady Lions made the trip to Riverside as confirmed underdogs. The o­nly problem was somebody forgot to tell them that then were not supposed to win. The Lions (18-10) Mallory Availa darted by, around, and through Poly's (20-7) defense all night.

Some sixteen years ago John Young started RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) at Algin Sutton Park with a $25,000 grant from Major League Baseball. From a handful of players, the program has grown to over 200,000 nationwide and in the Caribbean.

Riverside County’s 23rd Academic Decathlon, sponsored by the Riverside County Office of Education, begins o­n Saturday, January 28, at Arlington High School in Riverside.  The two-day event concludes o­n February 4.  The awards will be given o­n February 8.

This years RBI Softball Program got off to a booming start. Its founder, John Young could not have imagined the volume it is today. It was a reunion of RBI players of the past back in town for a clinic at Algin Sutton Rec Center in South Los Angeles.
