Good News Community Baptist Recognizes Graduates

Good News Community Baptist Church in Riverside, where Overseer Levonzo Gray, Sr. is the Pastor, recently recognized the graduates and those promoting from elementary to middle school and to high school.

College Graduates Ro'Candace Murray and Janetria Alberty graduated from University of California, Riverside with degrees in Psychology.

High School graduates included Johnny Hillary III from Arlington High; Janae Davis from Valley View High; Alberto Samuel Padilla ,Jr., Sarah Morgan, and Kameron Gill from Pacific High.

Hannah Gray and Nicolas Pernell will attend middle school in the fall. Camry Turner, an outstanding, high achievement student with several awards will attend High School in the fall.

Levonzo Gray, III was recognized for academic achievement.

Johnny Hillary,II, son of Johnny Hillary II and Kimette Hillary, will attend Southern University in Louisiana in the fall. Alberto Samuel Padilla, Jr,son of Samuel Alberto and Miriam Padilla, Kameron Gill,son of James Gill and Wanda Gill, and Sarah Morgan, adopted daughter of Samuel Alberto Padilla, Sr., will attend San Bernardino Valley College in the fall.

Miss Janae Davis was recognized as Miss Good News for 2010. She represented her church, Good News Community Baptist Church extremely well in the Southern California Miss Full Gospel Pageant. She is a very talented entrepreneur with her on copyrighted clothing line, many hours of community service at Loma Linda Hospital,and her singing talent. Janae is a graduate of Valley View High School where she excelled academically in the AVID Program. She wore other medals and awards at the service including the Black Student Union ribbon. Janae has been accepted into many colleges and universities.

Her selection has been narrowed to California Baptist College in Riverside and Emory University in Georgia. She is the daughter of Lloyd and Trina Turner.

Three of these graduates attended the Good News Hope & Help, Inc.

Supplemental Education Services Provider tutoring program. They will be recognized at a banquet on July 24th along with Good News Hope & Help, Inc. Scholarship recipients.
