In effort to augment an ongoing vision to serve the Inland Empire community’s diverse needs, St. Paul A.M.E Church Senior Pastor Rev. Larry E. Campbell and its membership proudly announces the kickoff of its 2010 “Pathway to Success Literacy Program.”

This pilot program is free and will be conducted starting Tuesday, April 6 and will operate until October 28.

Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for residents age 9 to the elderly at the Inghram Community Center (ICC) building located at 2050 N. Mt. Vernon Ave. in San Bernardino, Ca.

According to Rev. Campbell, the program's purpose is "to reach out to residents from all walks of life to enhance literacy proficiency of both the young and elderly who lack the necessary skills of reading and writing to cope with or perform their daily tasks."

Program Director Luizor Brown said, initially, all sessions will be conducted by appointment only and all the instructors involved are credentialed teachers.

For more information or to make an appointment for a pre-assessment test to enter the program, contact Mrs. Brown at (909) 820-1275.
