New Book Church Member from Hell Released by Local Author
Church Member From Hell written by local author Richard O. Jones is based on true-life accounts of the satanic influence in the lives of people struggling with their spirituality. Mrs. Lucinda Duncan is a woman who grew up an orphan. Her murdered mother was a prostitute and her father was an unknown john.
As a small child, Lucinda found herself living in a secret cult that, publicly, was a church sponsored foster home. It was in this environment that the torment began, taking possession of her self-esteem, body, and mind.
As an adult, Lucinda is controlled by voices in her head. The voice of Papa Wright, the satanic cult leader who violated her when she was six through eight years old; and the voice of Ebony Hunter, her mother, whose spirit is vicariously kept alive through Lucindas obedience to her illusionary immoral advice.
The scene is set during the early 1990s in North Carolina in the midst of Black church arson fires spreading throughout the South. Lucinda has an ongoing adulterous affair with a married Sunday school teacher, who is also the chief fire investigator for the city of Charlotte. He suspects the fires are racially motivated.
Lucinda conversely suspects that some of the fires are the result of her new friend, Nerfertiti, who is also a child molestation victim. She believes Nerfertiti is seeking vengeance for the sexual abuse she endured at the hands of perverted clergy when she was fifteen years old. Factual launches a personal investigation and discovers a history of santanic influence and corruption in church and state sponsored foster homes.
Lucindas husband, Milton, who is a Baptist preacher, is driven to drink by his wifes promiscuity. Reverend Milton Duncan is jailed for attacking two police officers that were at the Duncans apartment on a domestic dispute call. While Milton is incarcerated, Lucinda and Nerfertiti seek spiritual counseling to overcome their demons.
Dr. Mario Crane, a Christian psychologist, conducts Breaking Spiritual Bondage workshops. It is during these sessions that Lucunda, Nerfertiti, and the other members of the workshop begin to understand to power of God and gain the strength and faith to battle the spirit of Satan.
Lucinda battled in vain for her salvation until she discoverd the Shield of Faith. CHURCH MEMBER from HELL is a story about a holy war between good and evil.
