CeCe Winans in Concert Celebrates Newest Album Oct. 27

CeCe Winans, one of the most celebrated singers in contemporary music, brings her own songs to the stage of El Camino College’s Marsee Auditorium at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 for a concert showcasing her gold and platinum records.

Her appearance marks the release of her newest album titled CeCe Winans, in which her selections range from pop, R&B, urban, contemporary Christian, Gospel and inspirational music. This most diverse collection has the artist extending the reach of her music and her message. CeCe Winans is her second release with her own Wellspring Entertainment and marks her 16th Grammy nomination with four wins.
CeCe is the eighth of 10 children in a family that has become a musical dynasty. Her siblings include the gospel quartet “The Winans” with brothers Marvin, Carvin, Ronald and Michael. CeCe began eight years of recording as a duo with her brother BeBe in 1985 with their platinum Lord Lift Us Up. In 1995, he moved into solo territory, capturing a Grammy for the Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album.
Tickets for this Center for the Arts presentation are $32 and $28. Parking is free. CeCe is a wife and mother and has a committed relationship with her local church. CeCe is very clear about the direction of her new self-titled album: “I just knew this album would be totally different from others. With this album, we wanted to reach the world. I want people to feel encouragement and pasion from this record.”
