Multiple Grammy® Winner, Anita Baker, Headlines San Manuel Casino Singer/Songwriter Brings Classics to the Inland Empire on August 23

San Manuel Indian Nation – Thursday, August 23, 2012, San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino welcomes multiple Grammy® Award winner, Anita Baker. Tickets are on sale today and available at Ticketmaster.com and the San Manuel Box Office for $35, $45 and $55.

Anita Baker started singing in church and later in groups throughout Detroit, before landing a gig with Chapter 8 with whom she had the hit “I Just Wanna Be Your Girl” in the early 80s. Anita later went solo and recorded the classic collection The Songstress before finding her way to Elektra Entertainment and a decade-long collaboration that birthed such projects as Rapture, Giving You The Best That I Got, Compositions and The Rhythm Of Love. These albums produced a powerhouse songbook that includes such masterpieces as “Watch You Step,” “Been So Long,” “Lead Me Into Love, “Talk To Me,” “Body and Soul,” and “I Apologize.”

In 2003, Anita debut My Everything which held a collection of the best attributes of the singer, songwriter and producer. The album produced 10 songs including the album namesake single. The record also included other masterful pieces “Like You Used To Do,” a duet with fellow singer/songwriter/producer Babyface. Anita’s mantel holds Grammy, Soul train, NAACP Image, Billboard and Rolling Stone Awards.

Every Thursday night with headliner entertainment, San Manuel gives away $1,000 just for seeing the show. To be eligible to win, guests only need a ticket to the show, a Club Serrano card and to be 21 or older. Guests can enter beginning at noon on such days. Three drawings will be held on those nights: $250 at 7:20 p.m., $250 at 10:00 p.m. and $500 at 11:00 p.m. Winners must be present. Doors open at 6:30pm. Must be 21 to enter Casino.
