One of gospel music's top recording artists, SMOKIE NORFUL, exchanged compliments backstage with "The Queen of Hip Hop Soul" MARY J. BLIGE when both artists performed on the same stage at a recent Los Angeles concert.


The EMI Gospel artist exploded on to the Gospel music scene with his debut CD, I NEED YOU NOW featuring the hit single, "I Need You Now," garnering him numerous awards including three of Gospel's presitgious Stellar Awards for "Male Vocalist of the Year," "New Artist of the Year" and "Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year."

The Chicago-based singer/songwriter's six-song EP entitled, LIMITED EDITION released this past fall, along with his debut CD, both remain in the Top 5 of the Billboard Gospel Music Charts. Norful plans to release a new full-length CD in 2004.
