Barbara Morrison, the internationally acclaimed jazz and blues song stylist, will appear in San Bernardino on December 27th at the Galaxy Club at San Bernardino International Airport (formally Norton Air Force Base).

Barbara will be joined on stage by “The Jazz Divas” featuring the heavenly voices of Cheryl Barnes, Dee Dee McNeil and Yevette Stewart and Barbara’s four piece band consisting of Ron Bishop on piano, Rickey Taylor on bass, Charles Small on guitar and Peter Buck on drums.
Barbara’s smooth and sexy sounds have been heard in recordings with some of the greatest legends in blues and jazz. Her new CD “Thinking of You Joe” is a tribute to the great sexy jazz singer Joe Williams. Her “Down Under” CD exemplifies her abilities in live concert and demonstrates that people love her artistic ability all over and under the world. She has an infinite variety in her voice that wraps around both lyric and melody and captures the listener. Her melodic voice and two-and-a-half-octave range are known worldwide, as are her rich, unique, soulful and highly spirited interpretations of both, familiar Jazz and popular tunes.
Barbara Morrison’s rich and vibrant tones as the lead vocalist on the movie sound track for “The Hurricane”, starring Denzel Washington, as well as her vocals on “The Duke Ellington Millennium” CD, and Johnny Otis’s most recent CD, “Ooo Shoo Be Dooo” have gained her even more fans. The dazzling Miss Morrison has been featured on over 20 recordings in almost every genre from traditional Jazz and Blues to Gospel and Pop.
Barbara has performed or recorded with greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, James Moody, Ron Carter, Etta James, Esther Phillips, David T. Walker, Jimmy Smith, Johnny Otis, Dr. John, Kenny Burrell, Terence Blanchard, Joe Sample, Cedar Walton, Nancy Wilson, Mel Torme, Joe Williams, Tony Bennett, and Keb' Mo (Kevin Moore). Her credits include the hit NBC TV comedy The Naked Truth, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Dennis Miller Show. Ms. Morrison also guest stars with the Count Basie Orchestra, the Clayton-Hamilton Orchestra and Doc Severinsen’s Big Band.
