Bishop Keith Butler spoke about the "Good Shepherd" John 10:11. He said the day is coming when you're going to either follow the Shepherd or go your own way. But I'm here to tell you, your way will lead you to trouble. As sheep, our goal should be to follow "The Shepherd." There is only one Shepherd, and his name is Jesus.

The City Council may allocate $41.5 million dollars for a Library and a park. The City Redevelopment Agency is borrowing this money for six capital projects. 1) $22 million for a new library near City Hall. 2) $6.5 million for Fire Station 110 at Indian and Cottonwood Avenue 3) $5 million for a neighborhood park at Indian Street and Cottonwood Avenue. We have a neighborhood park less than two blocks from Indian Street and Cottonwood Avenue. We have a Fire Station on Indian Street, and we need improvements on Day and Cottonwood Avenue. Starting March 24, 2008 the scheduled street repairs City maintenance crews will be working on Nason Street between the East bound freeway ramps and Fir Avenue. The work, which is expected to last until Friday, March 28, 2008, is scheduled to start 8:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. Crews will close one lane each way. Allow for travel time in both north and southbound lanes. The area could get congested so the public is urged to use alternative routes.
