Ron Cochran Promoted to Assistant Sheriff

San Bernardino County Sheriffs-Coroner Rod Hoops recently promoted Deputy Chief Ron Cochran to Assistant Sheriff in charge of Support Operations.

In 2010, Cochran made history by becoming the first African American promoted as Deputy Chief in the San Bernardino department becoming the highest ranking African American in the department's 156-year history.

Cochran earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Azusa Pacific and a Master’s Degree from the University of La Verne.
