The Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Foundation’s 19th annual Foundation Gala will take on a nautical theme to encourage everyone to help “turn the tide” for the hospital’s young patients.
“Turning the Tide for Little Lives” is the theme of the 2012 foundation gala, presented by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, which is set for Thursday, March 8, at Riverside Convention Center, 3443 Orange St., Riverside, CA. A social hour and silent auction is set for 5:30 p.m., and the program begins at 7:30 p.m..
“We are excited to welcome everyone on board for our efforts to make a difference in the lives of our little ones,” said Mary Ann Xavier, who with Trixie Fargo is, co-chairwoman of this year’s gala..
“We have been truly blessed by the generosity of Children’s Hospital supporters in years past, and we are counting on that same spirit of generosity again this year because the needs of our children are ever growing.”
The gala is a major fundraising effort for the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Foundation. Last year, the gala raised over $800,000 for equipment and programs of greatest need at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. The event also is an opportunity to thank the community and for Children’s Hospital supporters to enjoy some time together.
“Families have come to expect world-class healthcare for our precious children from Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, but we can only offer this if we have the resources to do so,” Children’s Hospital administrator Zareh Sarrafian said. “We are truly blessed to have community partners who tirelessly work and generously give for the sake of our children.”
