Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County (CAPSBC), the designated Community Action Agency for San Bernardino County, announces the “Community Partners in Action to Make A Difference!” service and resource fair on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at San Bernardino Valley College from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Our goal is to provide free resources and direct services to those in need. “Neighborhoods” of services and resources will be set up at the event and attendees are encouraged to come receive assistance with health, education, children’s services, asset building, financial literacy, employment, food assistance, utility bill assistance, housing mortgage, legal services, and materials goods.
There will be free flu shots, free food distribution, free lunch & entertainment, lots of free goods and services, great raffle prizes, entertainment and a children’s play area with a hay maze, free pumpkins and face painting. All goods and services are first come, first served. Some supplies of some goods and services are limited, so we recommend that if there is a particular area of assistance that is needed, then going to that fair exhibitor first would be the best chance to receive that assistance.
This event is being sponsored by Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County and event partners San Bernardino Valley College, Catholic Charities, Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino, Time for Change Foundation, Community Assistance Program (City of Fontana – Water of Life Community Church), Young Visionaries, IEHP, Lift Up America, and Ecclesia Christian Fellowship. There will be 60 exhibitors at this event to help those in need in our community.
“We know there are so many families struggling to make ends meet in this difficult economy. We have worked to create an event that provides assistance to these members of our community who need our help,” stated Patricia Nickols, CEO of CAPSBC.
