Deadline Extended for Citibank, IEWBC Entrepreneurial Training Series For Women

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Inland Empire Women's Business Center at Cal State San Bernardino received funding from Citibank to offer free training to women who want to start their own businesses.

In an effort to encourage women to start a business, the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center in partnership with Citibank has developed an intense program consisting of workshops, business planning, and business counseling. CitiBank is the sponsor of the program titled “It’s Your Time: An Entrepreneurial Training Series for Women”.

Participants chosen will attend ten workshops, complete a vision board, write a business plan, and work directly with a business counselor in order to complete the program by January 13th, 2012. Three graduating participants will be selected to receive an award and launch their new venture.

The Inland Empire Women's Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The IEWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for women business owners.

The program provides services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country.

The Inland Empire Women's Business Center's hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only. The center also has a part-time outreach office in Corona, where it meets clients by appointment only on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
