San Manuel Village Opens Home-Grown Sports Bar

On Saturday, June 18, the new San Manuel Village tenant, SportsWatch Bar & Grill holds its grand opening to the public at 11:00AM. Open to all ages, residents of the Inland Empire and surrounding areas are welcome to try out the new Highland restaurant as well as enjoy the grand opening day festivities.

On hand to celebrate the opening, Los Angeles Dodgers legend Fernando Valenzuela. Valenzuela will sign autographs for the day’s attendees starting at 11:30AM. Guests will also receive coupons for future visits, as well as the first 500 diners will receive a commemorative SportsWatch Bar & Grill grand opening t-shirt.

Simply put, the new SportsWatch Bar & Grill will be exactly that – a place Inland Empire residents can watch their favorite sports games while enjoying great food. Situated around a 32-seat bar are 54 hi-resolution HD televisions, four of which are greater than 100 inches.

The 8,000-square-foot facility can seat 300 people, with a 32- seat private dining room for private parties and bookings, as well as a 40-seat outdoor patio, complete with a water feature and fire pit. Displayed throughout the restaurant will be some of the most unique and highly exclusive sports memorabilia from the nation’s top sports teams and athletes, including a Matt Kenseth race day NACSAR car hood, Los Angeles Kings goal signed by Luc Robitaille, game used items from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, Tiger Woods, UFC, USC, UCLA, as well as local Inland Empire high schools.

Don Lear, General Manager of the SportsWatch Bar & Grill, hired executive chef Joe Ledesma to create a menu uncommon for a sports bar in its unique take of popular childhood classics such as Lobster Corn Dogs. The 8- page menu will also feature products of area vendors including the world-famous Dodger Dogs sold at Dodgers Stadium. The SportsWatch Bar & Grill uses the freshest possible ingredients from homegrown farmers, while incorporating locally grown sustainable harvested produce. The bar itself will house 32 taps, with 26 artisanal microbrews, including local favorite, Redland’s brewery Hangar 24.

SportsWatch Bar & Grill is open to all ages, and will be open 7 days a week, with the kitchen open until 12AM Sunday through Wednesday, and 2AM Thursday through Saturday.
