Arrowhead United Way (AUW) was able to provide the Athletic Department of Pacific High School with new athletic apparel and equipment thanks to generous donations by Kohl’s Distribution Center in San Bernardino. Donated items included new baseball bats, athletic bags, athletic shoes, tank tops and shorts; over a $2,500.00 value.

“The items are greatly needed as many students do not have the capability to purchase the necessary athletic gear to play high school sports,” stated Monique Rodriguez, Community Impact Coordinator for Arrowhead United Way, “especially as many schools are dealing with major financial cuts.”

Carmel Brand, the Athletic Director at Pacific High School stated “The items are much appreciated and will be put to great use.”

AUW is a volunteer driven organization that actively supports health and human services by focusing on education, income, and health.

These services address the underlying causes of the community’s issues and create lasting change.

The organization was established in 1891 and is led by prominent respected community leaders; it is one of the oldest United Ways in the country.
