One of the most rewarding, yet challenging, fields that any college student or graduate should consider as a profession is in education as a teacher or administrator.
Education is even more relevant as a career choice with the increasing need for an educated workforce, as students will have to compete in a global economy.
And looming in the distance is an expected shortage of teachers and administrators as more and more baby boomers are nearing retirement age.
For those interested in education as a profession, Cal State San Bernardino will host its annual Careers in Education Day on Thursday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the atrium of the College of Education building on campus.
The event is free and parking at the university is $5 per vehicle.
The university’s College of Education faculty and staff will be on hand at the event to provide information and answer questions on education as a career and about pursuing studies toward a teaching credential, master’s degree or educational doctorate.
