On Tuesday, November 16, 2010, the “Children’s Foundation of America”, and “Adams Motorsports Park” together will kick off this year’s “Holiday Hero Gift Drive” which benefits more than 800 children and youth in foster care, group homes and special education programs. The after hours mixer will be held from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Adams Motorsports Park, located at 5292 24th St. Riverside, CA 92509.

Those attending can mix, mingle, enjoy good food and have a chance to win tickets to Sea World among several other great raffle prizes. Bring a gift, toy or a $10 donation and receive a free raffle ticket!

The holiday season is especially difficult for the children supported by the Foundation who have endured abuse, abandonment and neglect for much of their young lives. The Holiday Heroes Gift Drive is one way to brighten the lives of these vulnerable children and to remind them that they are cared and loved for.

Last year’s gift drive brought in more than 3,000 gifts, including toys, clothing, gift cards and educational items which were distributed to the children supported by the Foundation.

This was made possible with the help of local businesses, organizations and individuals who joined in the efforts by hosting gift collection boxes at their locations and collecting items donated by employees, customers, neighboring businesses and friends.

To RSVP to this event or if you are interested in hosting a gift collection, please contact Vanessa Vizard at 909-825-5588 ext. 264.

If you would like to contribute a cash donation, checks can be made out to: Children’s Foundation of America, PO Box 848, Colton, CA 92324.
