Oversight Hearing on Transportation issues set

Assembly Member Wilmer Amina Carter (D-Rialto), Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Inland Empire Transportation Issues, will hold an oversight hearing in Colton this Thursday, March 25 at 5:30 p.m.

The Select Committee will meet at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Oak Room, 400 North Pepper Avenue. The Select Committee will hear testimony regarding emerging transportation options in the Inland Empire and what future growth will mean for sustainability in the region in the coming decades.

"No region is more in need of intelligent transportation solutions than the Inland Empire," stated Carter.

"We are challenged by growing vehicle traffic and air quality impacted by what we drive and how we ship our goods and products. This hearing will bring together state officials and local leaders to continue the long-term planning required to create a sustainable community for future generations."

Public comment will be accepted at the conclusion of the presentations.
