The ‘Beautillion’ is a celebration of the achievements of young African American men who are high school seniors.

The young men that participate in the Social Lites’s Beautillion program are known as ‘Knights of the Beautillion’. The 2011/2012 Beautillion program began in November 2011 and will conclude with The Beautillion Ball May 2012.

During the Beautillion season the Knights are provided with training in; leadership, community involvement, presentation skills, church involvement and mentoring of their younger courts-men. Also participating in the program are High School Junior students known as “Squires” and middle school young boys known as “Pages”. Young ladies referred to as Fair-maidens also work within the unit during the season.

The six young men vying for the title of Sir Knight 2012 are: twins, Eric and Evan Carthen attending Arrowhead Christian Academy, Jared Dawkins attends Bloomington Christian School in Rialto, Samuel Jackson attends Arroyo Valley High, and Zackary Willhide-James attends Redlands High School.

These Beautillion Knights are canvassing their communities, churches, family and friends requesting support through the purchases of an Ad that will be published in the Beautillion Ball souvenir book available on the night of the Ball.

Proceeds from the sales of ads will fund scholarship and achievement awards to the “Knights” on the night of the Ball.
