The Inland Empire Women's Business Center at Cal State San Bernardino will host a workshop on Thursday, August 25, to help people who are considering launching a new business.
"ABC’s of Starting Your Own Business" is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Cypress Center, located at 8380 Cypress Ave, in Fontana. The workshop will be facilitated by Carla Ulloa, Community Loan Specialist with CDC Small Business Finance. The workshop is free to all who attend.
“ABC’s of Starting Your Own Business,” will be an interactive discussion on the role of an entrepreneur and will present the steps to take when starting a business. Participants will obtain contact information for the myriad of entities that are part of the start-up process and discover the sources of funding available to local existing and aspiring small business owners.
The Inland Empire Women's Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The IEWBC provides business counseling, training and mentoring designed for women business owners. The program provides services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country.
The Inland Empire Women's Business Center's hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment only. The center also has a parttime outreach office in Corona, where it meets clients by appointment only on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
