Allen James Succumbs

Allen James, Jr. a former resident of the Inland Empire passed away suddenly August 9, 2010 from an apparent heart attack. He was a retired 23 year veteran who recently moved to Arizona. He was driving near his home when he hit a tree, a policeman was on scene to give him help, however he expired at the hospital. Mr. James was retired from the Air Force in 1975 and went to work for the U.S. Postal Office working in the Redlands Regional Center until 2001.

While in the area he was a member first, of Bethel A.M.E. Fontana, CA and when he married Claudia moved his membership to St. Paul A.M.E., San Bernardino.

In both churches, he was active in the choir and in the men’s choir. He loved to sing and he was also a Trustee. At the time of his death, he was a member of Murph Community A.M.E. Church in Glendale, Arizona, still singing in the choir and a trustee.

Born in Greenfield, Florida he leaves to mourn his wife Claudia; 2 sons Roderick, Fontana and Keith (Stephanie) of Fort Worth, Texas; 2 grandsons, 3 sisters Josie Stokes, Riviera Beach, FL, Ethel Green of Greenfield, FL and Betty Connor of Monticello, FL and a host of nieces and nephews.
