CSUSB College Of Natural Sciences Honors Outstanding Graduate Students

Cal State San Bernardino’s College of Natural Sciences honored two students for their academic accomplishments, including one student for her research on minority health issues and another for his work in modifying and updating software tutorials for use in the classroom.

The college honored Erin Strong, 24, of Highland as the outstanding graduate student and Matthew Strader, 23, of Yucca Valley as the outstanding undergraduate student during the 2 p.m. commencement ceremony for CSUSB’s College of Natural Sciences.

Strong graduated with a master’s degree in public health. She originally enrolled at CSUSB to take more advanced science classes to enhance her application for medical school. After arriving, she decided to get a master’s degree in public health that would fulfill her goal of helping others.
